Down To A Science
My design process
My process begins by gaining a thorough understanding of my clients' goals and needs and forming a hypothesis. I then execute a research plan directed at proving or disproving those assumptions.
I synthesize the data I gather from my research in a way that helps me understand how users feel by looking for pain points, contradictions, and insights. Is there a need that is not being met? What are the areas of opportunity?
Once I empathize with my user, I brainstorm strategies to help meet my clients' goals while always keeping the users' needs in mind.
When designing, I always start out with pencil and paper to sketch out wireframes, which I eventually transform into digital low-fidelity prototypes that are ready for testing.
Prototype and Test
Before designing the interface and creating high-fidelity mockups of my design, I perform user testing with a low-fidelity prototype to gather valuable insight and feedback regarding user interactions.
